Salmon Fishing Scotland Wild Life at Stanley Perthshire Scotland.
This is a Greater Spotted Woodpecker (female) which comes to our nut hanger all day at the moment. The nuts are disappearing fast as it feeds its young not far away. Geordie always makes the comment when the Woodpecker is about that the "gentlemen better keep their hats on!" I think it all ready has got to him! oops!

Salmon Fishing Scotland Boat Painting at Stanley Perthshire Scotland.
All the boats at Stanley are off the river at the moment to be painted. We have washed them out and let them dry for 3 weeks and we are now painting them to prepare for july when we will be back guiding on the river again. This is a traditional procedure for the lower Tay at this time of year.

Recently we have been doing some bank repairs at Benchil due to the 18 foot flood in December last year and also completing work started in May 2006. To-morrow i will post a picture of the same bit after the soil is placed on it and we have seeded it with a flood bank mix plus netting it down to hold it.
