Salmon Fishing Scotland July 2008.

Salmon Fishing Scotland July 2008.
Summer fishing conditions at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland.

This is the Dyke in a good height opposite the Wash House hut on the Pitlochrie beat.

Raymond Hughes spinning a flying C in the Kirkie pool. Raymond successfully landed a large Brown Trout and had a good offer from a Salmon while fishing the pool.

This is the large Brown Trout landed by Raymond of about 4lbs. These are cannibal trout with very sharp teeth that cut your hand very easily and they feed on salmon parr as you can see from the photo. The object on the trouts head is a half devoured salmon parr.

While salmon fishing there should be no bycatch killed.
That trout was part of the natural microsystem for that part of the river.

Shame on you!
