Salmon fishing Scotland Catching Autumn Salmon September 2009.

Salmon fishing Scotland Catching Autumn Salmon September 2009.

This was some action from the Upper Scone beat today (2/09/2009).

Scottish Ghillie Dave Barwick unhooks a good salmon which was caught by Charles Savage on a Rapala in the Horsey pool of the Pitlochrie beat at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland.

Charles Savage with the 20 pounds fresh salmon.

After the photographs the salmon was released back to the river.

Everyone watches as the magnificent salmon swims away to fight another day. Well done Charles these big hen salmon are so valuable to the Tay this year when runs are not that great. Thank you.

Robin Menzies prepares to fly fish the Horsey pool after consulting his Scottish Ghillie, Dave Barwick.

The correct fly was chosen as Robin holds up his catch, a lovely fresh Tay Grilse.
