Salmon Fishing Scotland Autumn Salmon Fly Fishing on the Tay in Late October 2012.

It was not such a nice autumn day on the Tay in Perthshire, Scotland but autumn salmon were still caught and on the fly which was heartening. There were also reports of runs of fresh salmon running the river with sea liced fish caught up on the middle beats.

Jimmy McGregor plays a salmon on the fly in the Long Shot at Benchil.

A coloured salmon was successfully landed.

Ally McKinnon with a good salmon caught fly fishing in the Todd Holes on the Benchil beat.

Ed Page with a 29 pounds monster from the famous Glendelvine beat at Murthly where Miss Georgina Ballantine caught her 64 pounds salmon.
Tomorrow is the last day of the 2012 salmon season on the Tay. Tight lines to all.
