Salmon Fishing Scotland Autumn Fishing on the Tay, October 2013.

Salmon Fishing Scotland Autumn Fishing on the Tay, October 2013.

At last the rain clouds have burst and given us a reasonable amount of water in the river. Most beats have not had it easy but hopefully with the river rising fast that may change and give everyone a chance to finish the season on a high. This week has been quite productive so far with over 250 salmon registered and also some Tay monsters up to 30 pounds.

The clouds getting darker and darker yesterday prior to all the rain.

A big 30 pounds autumn salmon caught on the fly from Islamouth. The massive salmon was caught by Brian McIntosh at the Ring Stone.

Dave Brown with a salmon caught in the Pitlochrie pool at Stanley.

Peter Varney with a fresh autumn salmon caught fly fishing at Benchil.
