Salmon Fishing Scotland October Autumn Salmon Fishing on the Tay, Perthshire, Scotland 2013.

Salmon Fishing Scotland October Autumn Salmon Fishing on the Tay, Perthshire, Scotland 2013.

The salmon catches on the Tay, Perthshire, Scotland have increased dramatically over the last couple of days due to a dip in temperature. The week started off with a water temperature of 56F or 13C but after much colder weather and a hard frost last night we started the day off at 48F or 9C today and the fish have responded with over a 30% increase in catches. There is now around 500 registered for the week.

A cold start with the water temperature higher than the air. As the temperatures equate the fish respond and start taking lures.
