Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Salmon Fly fishing on the Tay system April 2014.

Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Salmon Fly fishing on the Tay system April 2014.

The Tay in Perthshire, Scotland water levels have been dropping away slowly over the last few days and the catches have started to spread throughout the system as conditions relent and it makes the passage of salmon easier to run up the river. The conditions have improved dramatically for fly fishing on the river.

This was the scene at Pitlochry Dam today which is a very productive spring fishery.

Steven Watt form Perth certainly exploited the improving conditions and landed 4 spring salmon on the fly from the Pitlochry Angling Club stretch.
