Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Fishing on the Tay, Perthshire March 2015.

Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Fishing on the Tay, Perthshire March 2015.

It was a much better day for spring salmon fishing on the Tay in Perthshire today with blue skies and superb water conditions. Could the catches match the conditions? The river had a much better day with spring salmon registered up the beats as there appears to be an improving run that is traditional in March.
Catholes under the Stanley Weir.

Derek Wangert with a superb 13 pounds springer caught in the Little Head on Catholes.

A lovely fresh salmon caught at Dunkled House by Jim McDonald from the boat.

Paul Sutherland with a cracker from the Little Head on the Catholes.

Dave Morgan with a 21 pounds springer caught on Lower Redgorton from the boat last week.

The days are getting longer now as we have entered March but the sun sets are still magical in good weather.
